Clean and Sustainable
What seemed to be routine and monotonous to most; what has appeared to be taken granted of and also neglected by many, can be different for a passionate team that is fully committed to sustainable behaviours.
Now

Then

Commonly practised in the industry for years, JCL, likewise, dumped its concrete that were discharged from the washing mixer trucks drums at the disposal yard. The quantity when accumulated could be quite substantial and was considered as a wastage and abuse of natural resources. Fortunately, this phenomenon was changed with the installation of recycling machine.
The recycling was installed at the former JCL washing bay. The core function is to collect, segregate and reuse the water, coarse and fine aggregates obtained from the washing of the concrete mixer trucks. By using the grey water collected from the sedimentation pit and aggregates segregated by the recycling machine, in the concrete production again, this has helped to conserve natural resources.
To conserve more, JCL has also implemented the use of high pressure jet spray. This uncomplicated initiative has helped JCL reduced water consumption effectively 20 times less than before. Not only did it help to conserve water, it has also helped the drivers get their mixer trucks cleaned with great ease in less time, as well as achieved the pleasingly spick and span that JCL is extremely proud of. On long term, with better upkeeps of the mixer trucks, it also entails that there would be less cost incurred for maintenance.
