May 4 Subsidiaries of JCL, JCL Readymix Pte Ltd, JCL Drymix Pte Ltd, Jurong Cement Bulk Terminal Pte Ltd and Jurong Premier Concrete Pte Ltd were amalgamated and became known as JCL Building Materials Pte Ltd.
Feb JCL and its subsidiaries were awarded ISO 14001:2004 standard by UKAS, under one certification.

Oct JCL and its subsidiaries were awarded ISO 9001:2000 standard by UKAS, under one certification.

Opening of Jurong Cement Bulk Terminal Pte Ltd at Pulau Damar Laut with an annual throughput capacity of 1million MT. 
1997
Jurong Cement Bulk Terminal Pte Ltd was formed to import and distribute Ordinary Portland Cement and Portland Blast Furnace Cement and other specialized cement to cater to the Singapore and Regional market requirements. JCL invested in a commercial property, Island Place Tower, Hong Kong.
1995
JCL was awarded SIRIM certification. Concrete Connections Pte Ltd was formed to capitalize on the growing demand for dry mix mortar products. 
1994
JCL was awarded PSB ISO 9002 certification. JCL also entered into another joint venture to invest in 2 cement plants in Zhejiang province.
1993
JCL entered into a joint venture to form a consortium to invest in a cement plant in Beijing and in an Industrial Park in Shanghai.

JCL added on a second grinding mill to bring the total annual rated capacity to 1 million MT
